Official revolver bs thread

Did just that 1 month ago. Waiting on my rebate.

 

Some sweet pieces in this thread.

 

Among my guns, only 2 revolvers. H&K 999 22lr and a S&W blued 357 magnum Indiana State Police commemorative police issue. Love both of them, fun shooters.

 

Front sight is just a white dot.

 

Still one of my favorites.

 

S&W Model 28.

 

S&W Model 18. Ex Detroit PD gun, they were bought so the females could qualify but it was grieved by the union and were sold off through MPS. Came with the Tyler T grips already installed but had never been fired. [it has now]

 

Probably not my prettiest gun, but very versatile.

Can plink and serve as a home defense gun with very light recoiling 45 colt cowboy loads, to 50% more power than a 44 magnum for hostile bears and jeeps.

I just smooth out the trigger and installed some Wilson Combat springs (their GP100 kit works for super redhawks too). I used the 8 lbs. trig reset spring and 12lbs. hammer spring (stock is 14lbs. for the hammer spring.)

Muuuuuch better double action pull, best $10 I’ve ever spent so far in the gun hobby!

Currently waiting on parts to tighten up the endshake a little and maybe new grips without finger grooves.

 

Very Nice! That's one thing I like about Ruger's you can work on them without springs flying all over the house!

 

Here is a nice model 49 Bodyguard. Only a 1981 but it did come with the box and paperwork.

Top is a S&W Victory model that has quite a history. Sent to the UK in support of the WWII war effort returned to the US. Originally had a 4 or 5" barrel that was cut down upon it's return to the US. Snubbies were more popular back then...at least that's the story.

Bottom is the Taurus 85 I just picked up taking advantage of their rebate program. $145 after rebate.

 

My favorite revolver - a Pre-Victory Model M&P that was shipped in April 1942 to be transferred under Lend-Lease to the Brits in .38 S&W. It is all matching, including the grips, just as it left the factory on April 17, 1942.

 

That edc will rip up some halloween/thanksgiving decor (it is technically still my edc even though these were 158 gr sjhp since thats what i carry to the woods with me, but my usual ammo is critical defense) i did put a gal of water in it for dramatic effect.

My next revolver will be a Ruger lcrx 3” barrel in 22lr.

 

A real gun is a wheel gun.

 

I've shot a revolver in competition for better then twenty yrs got many to choose from owned n sold many too. Will post pics this weekend if I get a chance. Love a wheel gun it will love ya back.

 

My only revolver is a S&W 642 Pro. I mostly carry it around the house in my pocket. Works great for basketball shorts, because it is so small and light.

 

nice! a couple of guys I work with have those and I have built holsters for them (and shot them of course while they were in my possession) and I was pleasantly surprised how well they shot. I mean out to 7 yards I cant tell any difference in accuracy in them and my 4" .357 in relatively quick DA... now past the 10 yard mark I would assume my carry gun will run away with it haha.
