I wish I'd had a camera with me this evening. We hunted all day. We didn't see anything this morning. This evening I had about 175 pound bear sty with me for about 45 minutes. It came within 25 yards and laid down eating acorns or something for about 20 minutes. They're fun to watch I could have harvested it easily but we only get 1 bear tag and i'd like to find a bigger one. I talked to it for a while trying to get it to leave but it just stood upright on it's back legs and looked at me trying to figure out what was going on I guess. A good sized bear about 6' tall it just wasn't carrying any extra weight many around here don't as our winters just aren't all that bad usually. It had the characteristics of being a sow i.e. longer nose and bigger ears. I've nly been able to get out 5 times now and have seen 5 bears so far

So, this has been a hell of a week. No time for updates, or checking in. Was out of town, but more on that later.
The big C keeps biting my wife. She found out she has bone degeneration due to the medication she has to take for 3 more years. Now she has to go in to have transfusions every 6 months to fight that. She is very discouraged.
Every damn time we think this is going well, and get accustomed to whats happening, more shit pops up.
Well, just one more thing to deal with.
On the job front, been out of town. Made some good money. But my truck was put down for the week.
The truck I drove was disgusting.
It has been driven for years by smokers, and one of em smoked a cigar. There is smoke residue EVERYWHERE. I started to try to clean it but it was just to much of a job. I had brown shit dripping from the ceiling. It smelled so bad I almost :puke: The steering wheel was covered in scum. Disgusting.
And the truck had serious front end problems. It was the worst driving truck I have ever driven. I wrote up a list on it as long as I had on my truck.
The good news is my truck is finished, and 99% of everything I wrote up has been fixed, and the parts for the last thing are on order. We actually got that part 2 weeks ago, but the mechanic couldnt find it when he went to fix it.
    So he ordered another part.
Will be back out of town for all of next week too.
But next weekend I hope to get in some wheeling when I get home, so :fingerscrossed:
The new boss is really getting shit straightened out, but Im still unsure if I will be able to work for him. He constantly overthinks everything, and everything is in chaos. But thats where people like him thrive. Dealing with chaos. The problem is, they have to CREATE the chaos to start with. We will see how it goes, but it is very aggravating for me. I am enjoying being away from town where I don't have to deal with it constantly.

So, there it is. I hope everything is going well for everyone. Im not going to be able to read everything Ive missed, but I know some are having a tough go of it, and Im there for you, you know who you are. I see someone got a deer, grats, and I see others are still trying, good luck.
Chuck, I hope you get to feeling better soon brother. Sounds like you've got a doozy of one.
Thats all I got for now.
    Im out
