HA ..Too bad I'm BAMF grill 4 Life.
    The Prisnu is nice. In fact, it's the cleanest one I've seen commercially available for the Taco. But there a few things I didn't like and wanted to change for my own;
1)sits lower to the roof(no gap between roof and rack)
2)Side panels curved to match the couture of the cab(not just straight sides)
3)Integrated side lights for camping. (i'd feel bad hacking holes in the side of a prisnu)
    And a few other changes...
Because of the above reasons, designed this one you see. Laser cut and welded it together. We'll see how it looks when all put together...

    Sounds about par for you.

    As usual it looks good.
As usual I want one....keep me posted I suppose. I have similar 'complaints' regarding the prinsu. Aluminum or steel?

Thanks! Not sure If I'll offer it..don't want to step on any toes.
And it's 100% STEEL IS REAL. I didn't like seeing all the external hardware on the outside bolting the bars, so they are welded from the inside. it's BEEFY

015045B8-6E85-4E1F-8701-3F550B7CE3B6.jpg Everything fit great. The brackets needed a little trimming but the speakers fit great!

F8054A23-1FD6-45F5-839D-5E24B48A0100.jpg These are the speakers I ordered. Crutchfeild sends all connectors and hardware free. I got the tweeters from eBay. Plug right in. Do recommend a panel removal kit. Super cheap on Amazon.

Sounds really good! Best I've heard but it's always hard to capture a good exhaust sound on video.

First mod. Probably the most least expensive mod to go on the truck.

Looks great! Did you pull the roof antenna and brake light, or just cut around them?

Pulled the antenna and wrapped around the brake light but it was a pain.

So, I have always hated sliding rear windows. That's how some POS broke into my 89. I really wish that the slider on our trucks would have been an option because I wouldn't have gotten it. In an effort to make it a little more secure I went to Ace and bought a piece of aluminum channel for 1/4 inch plywood. I cut it off right @ 12". Then just in case I need to remove it, I installed 2 handles. Fits like a glove with no rattle!

I believe the difference is that the 5100 doesn't come with the new springs and there might be some valving differences. The 5160 are for the rear and have the remote resi.

Nice idea but there's a problem. The thing about P'sOS is if they want to break in badly enough they'll just break the glass. Your solution will probably just keep a reasonably honest person honest. I get it though, we're all at risk. Used to be a time when a handshake meant something and you could leave your house unlocked. These days all bets are off! Just ain't like it used to be and probably never will be again. Sad!

Finally finished the ham install. I'm happy with the fabricated antenna mount (will put a shot of black paint on it later today). The antenna wire was fed through a grommet under the driver's seat. At approximately nine hours, which included fabrication, antenna testing, and programming the radio, it's one clean install. I'm just waiting for my custom fuse cover from Mesojdm, which should be here in a day or two.
