iPhone 7 doesn't sync with Entune

I have a 2017 Tacoma with Entune. When I connect my iPhone 7 using Bluetooth for the first time each day the connection is usually fine. If I shut off the truck and restart, most of the time the sound comes thru as rapid fire (3xs normal) unintelligible blurts for a second, then silence for a second, then repeat.

What is this? How do I fix it?

I usually disable and re-enable Bluetooth on my phone then reconnect to entune.

Specter, I've shut off the phone and then turned it on. That seems to work most times, but I shouldn't have to do it, and neither should you need to restart Bluetooth..

Of course, the dealer had no idea what I was talking about.

 

Sync. Just busting balls

 

My 7 connects but it skips every few minutes like it loses connection. Started a few days ago after I updated my phone.

same here. get skipping after latest iPhone update.

 

I update my phone last night. We'll see what happens today.

 

I upgraded my software to iOS 11.1.2 last night. This morning I deleted my iPhone from Entune and vice versa. After about 30 minutes I got the two to reconnect. Not sure why it took so long.

More importantly, the podcast sounded flawless. I went for a ride, turned off the engine, and when I started up again, viola, all is well! I did it three more times over about 10 hours and the system works like a charm.

Seems like the iPhone software was the problem. Or, maybe it was me for not updating the thing.

What about audio/video syncing? My problem is I can't watch a video on my phone and listen to the sound over Bluetooth without a sound delay.

 

When I have problems, I make sure the IOS is the latest. Problem is usually with the phone IMO.

 

I tried an updated phone, I'll check and see if it's the most updated. I refuse to update my phone until the kinks get worked out. Already seen a few issues with newest iOS.

 

That works for me, or turn on Pandora before I start the engine.
