I found this truck in Mountain Home Arkansas. I restore, learn, sell and start another project. I have to confess I don't make money on the transactions --- not really. I enjoy the work and knowledge gained on a great product. I have had a 2004 pre-runner. I find the TRD a stiffer ride (probably to be expected). Both my trucks were/are extended cabs. With the manual transmission, the TRD is harder to find and usually more expensive. The leaf springs on were recently replaced. My next task will be both ball joints (lower left and right) I would be interested in a referral to an expert mechanic who can be trusted in the Dallas / North Texas area. I was recently quoted $860 to change out both lower ball joints and this was not a Toyota Dealership. Frankly, I am sickened by this piracy. I have probably saved $15000 over the last couple years doing the work myself. Still, I would like to know someone reliable if I get myself in a jam. I love these trucks. Every one of them is a treasure with 300000 miles potential or more if properly maintained.
