    I'll post in here.. :)

the switch pro comes with what you see here..

best price is at Autoanything.. they usually have a sale at 20%.. sometimes 25% off. thats where I would recommend getting it.

as for install.. pretty straight forward.. in fact.. pretty damn easy and awesome actually. lol

mount the large control panel anywhere you want.. within reach of the vehicles battery obviously. you can mount it straight to the fuse box cover, or use a panel like Ash did. they can be found from various vendors here. I chose to mount mine to my fuse box cover. easy and convenient. wire it up (with included, easy to follow instructions) and run the switch panel into the cab wherever you want it.

Hey Mr_ash, I'm following your steps here but having trouble on the pull up on the front cup holders part. When I do that the console does release and come up, but only about an inch before stopping. Feels like at that point its stuck somewhere in the center close to the shifter. I gave it a good tug but it doesn't seem to release. Before I pull harder on it did you experience this? Thanks!

I'm assuming you got the shift knob off, of course. ;)

After that, you'll need to disconnect the white electrical connector on the passenger side of the shift lever (see below).

The other tricky part was simply negotiating the boot over the parking brake handle. I sort of pulled the console to turn it inside out and then gently wrestled the tightest part over the handle:

Here is the console upside down after being removed:

Thanks! I figured out what was happening - there's two plastic clips in the front that I think release when you initially pull up, but they were also catching on the lip of the opening so I had to wiggle them a bit and they finally slipped out. I was able to remove it as far as I needed to to see some things and will proceed with my project. I'll PM you a link when I have something to show! Thanks again!

Thanks for the write up! I've been looking for something like this. Anybody have any thoughts on if that 12v in the cubby would be a good spot to t-tap into for seat heaters?

    Mr_Ash,

Your truck looks great! I'm looking forward to seeing how it progresses and where you take it!

You posted a picture in the camping thread with the Rooftop Tent in camping mode.

Do you have any more pictures of the RTT (both while camping, but also while closed/transit mode)?

I'm considering removing my Toyota tonneau cover for some sort of cover with a rack or possibly a cap as you've done (for a hardshell RTT). I'm having trouble finding pictures of the hard shell RTT's on 3rd Gen Tacomas.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ash,
How did you secure your fridge and propane? I am picking up my Snug Top Rebel on Friday and need to start building sleeping platform. Going to add a cutout for fridge.

Thanks for the write up on the Switch Pro, I just pick one up and have been looking everywhere for a clean setup like yours. Quick question, do you have specs on your low-profile tap-a-fuses that you used? I'm looking on waytek.com at some that are 30A, 32V, 16GA low profile mini fused circuit tap. Does that sound right? Thanks

    I bought these:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I0MWPXU/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Only 5A but you can do up to 20A. I’ve had no problems and been over a year. I’m sure the ones you’re looking at will be great too. Enjoy and let me know how your install turns out!

    Workin' on it....
I used the add a circuit method also and stuck with either 5 or 7.5 amp fuses. As far as my understanding goes, the add a circuits are only contributing to ignition sense and light sense -- the actual circuit protection is happening at the SwitchPro itself - each is rated at 18 amps so no need to plug a higher fuse in the add a circuits in the cab.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm waiting on some parts so I am researching the Switch-Pros install with the Blue Sea terminal block, busbar, and fuse block. I'm a newb to all this but trying to learn it all.

Thanks for the post. It saved me. The wiring diagram I got was for a Jeep and was a little frustrating.
