Any sugestions on brands of a 3”lift?
I was thinking going with Toytec TTBOSSTAC, included the differential drop kit and upper control arms.
    Is Toytec a good brand?
    Thank you for your help.

    3" ToyTec lift.
I would not recommend the Toytec lifts. They do not stand behind their products. I installed the 3" ToyTec lift with AAL. The AAL was great, but the Toytec coilovers only gave me about 1.5" of lift. They claim this is the first time they ran into my issue. With that being said; the coilover springs must be defective, thus not being strong enough for the full 3" lift. They gave me a solution for my problem. Their solution was for me to spend another $200 and take my truck into a shop and have them pull the coilovers out and have the mechanic move the spring clip up one notch hoping that it would help with the weak springs. That was their only solution was for me to pay more money. I will never buy ToyTec products again or recommend them to anyone!

Headstrong are good people. I bought my SPC UCAs from them. I would recommend a good bit of research on here before heading off to spend money. This stuff is expensive, and there are things to know.

There are as many answers to that question as there are questions about what you intend to do with your truck. Options vary significantly if you are going for aesthetics versus off-road functionality. By all means talk to Headstrong as suggested, or give Wheeler's a call. Or hook up with forum members local to you and see what they have done, and possibly meet others nearby that would be willing to help you install (if needed).

Welcome to TW, and good luck!

I just want to install LT285/70R17 tires, I have no intention to use it off-road.
Any recommendations on a good 3” lift?
    Thank you guys.

After several emails between myself and Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road i went with the bilstien 6112s up front. My truck was lifted by the previous owner and I was replacing the original struts with blocks on them. I had them set on the top setting. These are supposed to net 2.5”, but I got right at 4. I still have the 2” blocks on the back for now and sit perfectly level. These ride a little stiff, but they aren’t harsh. At highway speeds you feel in total control.

A little of this and a little of that.
    Welcome to TW!
The more you know, the better your decisions will be.
HeadStrong, DownSouth, and Low Range are some companies I’ve dealt with and received great customer service.
Check out the ‘Suspension’ sub-section threads. Lots of info regarding lifts and lifting these trucks.

Lift doesn't insure tire fitment. Wheel specs have much more impact on clearances.

Personally I'd suggest only going 2" and avoid several other issues/changes that come with going above that.

Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road, as others have suggested, will help get you there.

But start by reading the lift guide found here https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/suspension.18/

Just seek quality brands no matter what road you go down. If you need advising, it seems people plug Headstrong quite often around here.
I did my own research with a mixed bag results and couldnt be happier. Bilstein 5100's, eibach 2.5" springs up front, wheelers 1.5 AAL out back. Perfect for my needs.

Lol, how many times have you had to post this now? I'd say keep a running tally, but that's a lot of numbers.

Oh I know. I'm just laughing because every time we have a new lift thread, there's always a post referring to Marie and Headstrong. It's awesome.
