I had an epic fail today...

I was changing the oil in the truck. I had just run my son to preschool...so the truck was hot. I had an hour to get it done and get cleaned up. I pull the drain plug and the oil was hot so I dropped the plug. I didn't think anything of it. Next thing I know oil is running down the driveway...the drain plug had worked its way into the hole on the oil pan container, preventing it from allowong oil to draining into the pan. I then spent the next 4 hours trying to clean the oil off the driveway...in freezing temps.

Needless to say, my driveway is a big sheet of ice, but I was able to get the mess reasonably cleaned up.

Never again though! I am ordering a fumoto! Should I get the 103N or 103S? A nipple would be nice because I could just stick the hose right in the container.

 

I will always vote nipples.

 

I think that the patch should be a take on see no evil, hear no evil bit.

Like a picture of a face eating, a face sleeping, and then a taco. This is not necessarily what I mean, but similar.

 

I got the N because I wanted to be able to hook up the hose so as to minimize spillage.

 

I have the short nipple on my Subaru, and it's sweeeeet. I'd definitely recommend it.

That's a lot different than the see no evil, hear no evil idea, but I think I was on the right path...
