So I'm trying to help a friend out with his truck. I was hopping someone might be able to help me narrow down where the electrical issue might me. It's a 2010 Trd offroad by the way.

So he pulled out the electrical box under the dash to get to the headlight relay I think, and in the process I think he damage a pin or pulled a wire out of a crimp. He has cab interior light, headlights, backlight in cluster, door ajar light in cluser, and the security light in dash by passenger seat air bag indicator. Other than that, the tcluster, dead, odometer doesn't come on, truck won't start. Unable to connect with scanner. All fuses checked and truck worked fine before he disconnected battery and installed the new light relay.

My leading theory is that the ecm power or ground has been damaged. That or possibly something to ignition, so the mechanical switch works but maybe the transponder isn't getting power? These are the first things I was gonna try and confirm power and grounds on.

Open to suggestions or if anyone can pinpoint this behaviour better?

    Thanks.

    Solved.

He managed to pull the ignition connector up inside the column off. I guess on a whim he pulled it apart to check and found it.
