I have a 2013 TRD off road double cab I was told that I didn't want to use a leveling kit because the off roads suspension is already maxed out ball joints ect..is this true because I would like to lift my truck at least 3 inches with the most cost effective method!

    Not true.
However I believe 2.75 is the max lift on a 2nd gen and you're going to need a cab mount chop running bigger tires.
It also not recommended to run a 3 in lift on factory upper control arms. Tons of lifted 2nd gens in here.

So it is sorta true that the ball joints and such are maxed out with the addition of a leveling kit or coilover adjustable kit! So an actual suspension lift kit would be the way to go?
