Some LEDs have hoods over the LEDs that work fine, some have them and they don't work well enough, and some don't. Just gotta test it out, that's China for you. I'd say HID in proper housings are better than LEDs.

I installed these on the 4Runner a few weeks ago, wife is happy, most incoming traffic is happy, get an occasional flash. It usually because they're either lower or in a dip in pavement to get the full beam
The H4 has the shield built in to the bulb assy and you can kind of tweak the position a bit to get a happy place.
Will be getting a set for the Tacoma soon
The only negative I've I've found is that I've lost the high beam indicator in dash when high beam is on, may need a resistor or something I haven't looked into it yet

Full height rack that is tied in to the frame bolts. Tent is CVT mt Shasta with the annex
