New 2003 Tacoma Reg Cab owner

Hello all!

From the KC area in Missouri.

Just bought a 2003 Reg Cab with 74,000 from a dealer for 7,600. Thought I got a pretty good deal.

I'm looking forward to owning this truck for a really long time.

Anything I should know about the 2.4 L engine?

Okay so is there anything I should know about the 2.4 engine? I'm at 75K so I'm going to need to replace the timing belt around 90k? Am I reading valid information?

I really want to mod this truck. I'm not terribly handy, but intend to start doing so. I was thinking a lift kit and some bigger wheels to start. I would also like to beef up the horsepower and torque a bit. Where do I get started?
