about 75 percent of the time when i take off from a start after i shift into 2nd gear (1st gen manual tranny) i get a clunking sound coming from the front end. weird thing is, it doesnt happen everytime i shift into 2nd, only sometimes. its pissing me off because i cant figure out what it is and after the initial time of shifting into 2nd, it usually doesnt do it again till after i turn the truck off and let it sit for a while

    any help is greatly appreciated

    Bump.

I have the same issue, except when at a stand still and shifting into 1st.

Check your tranny fluid level. If its ok, then try changing it to some redline mt-90.

Also, how many miles does the truck have?
