    Hello all
    My name is Jacob,
I recently purchased my new to me 3rd gen taco trd offroad, silver sky metallic. it is my first truck and fourth vehicle overall. i am very excited to start wrenching on it. Except I have to wait another god knows how many months till I am home from my current deployment.

The list i have for soon to be purchases include a lift, which I can't decide what 6'' lift i want to go with yet.
    wheels and tires,
an exhaust system and a CAI.

I come from two previous hot hatches, mk5 gti and a 2014 Focus St. my st was a rocket, so its going to be a big change of pace.

Everyone is going to have their own opinions about this next part but I really dont care about your negative comments, im in the Navy on a ship with the same people for 8 months, Im used to negative comments.

I have started a Gofundme account to help pay for the lift, wheels, and tires. I'm doing this for two reasons, one my money that i have saved on deployment is going to our home when I come back and second, i dont want to cheep out on a lift and put my family in danger.

I look forward to meeting some of yall in the pacnorthwest. and conversing with the rest of yall here on the forum.

Welcome and we don't talk about any Gofundme stuff on this forum, and I would delete the Gofundme link in this thread

    Stuff...
Nice! Thanks for your service Im in the airforce.

But as for the mods you want to do.... Mostly everyone on the forum hates drop bracket lifts because it doesn't get you more clearance so be prepared for people to tell you to get a 3" lift... But it's your truck your money do what you want. Also they are going to tell you CAI isn't worth it... So I got that out the way so you're prepared

My two pennies is get you that 6" lift throw it on 35s and 17s or if you like rims 35s and 20s. And call it a day. Do all your research on this forum cause most of the things you're thinking has already been talked about and a thread has been made. But there isn't much about db lifts on here some threads but not that detailed

    Good luck with your build!
