First...If I am running 2 amps (one 300w RMS and one 500w RMS) from 4ga wire off the battery into a distribution block, what amp fuses should I use on battery lead and distribution block??

Second...in the picture below, if the mono amp is 500w RMS, how many watts does each sub get?? Do they both get 500w or is it lessened by splitting the wires to the 2 subs??

    Thanks

1: On the distro end, right in front of the amps, use the manufacturer's recommended fuse. Add the two for your hood fuse value or go higher if you want. The big thing the hood fuse is doing is protecting you in the event a short circuit (power wire & frame or other ground). The amp fuses in your distro are protecting each amp individually according to its limits.

2: In your scenario below, both subs will share the 500W. So 250W each. Not much specific to go on here, but if your amp is rated at 500W at 2 ohms, and you give it a 2 ohm load, I'd expect about 500W output. Divide that by the number of drivers used and that's what's available to each driver.

What I have is an amp rated for 500w RMS at 2 ohms and two 2ohm DVC subs wired like the picture.
