Yeah - I remember that deer incident.

Don't you have some pictures of that and the result?

I park my truck waaaaay away from all other vehicles, too. I even do this in the parking garage at work! Last week I drove to Wal Mart after I got off work and ended up leaving because there were just tooooo many shopping carts in their parking lot. I refuse to have a shopping cart hit my truck. I can't stand it when I see lazy people leave their cart out so it can roam around the parking lot.

I am always too afraid to park in an angle. I also have a friend at work who takes up two stalls when he parks his Dodge Ram. I won't do that because some freak will know why you are parking your vehicle like that and will intentionally do something to it.

Thanks for the advice guys, i may have to look into the resin idea and i would like to see the LED solution you came up with sunrunner, sounds interesting. BTW, anyone know how much a fender flare costs from Toyota?

In response to those of you who think double parking is a good idea... its not. The only time double parking is ok is when you are so far away from the building that noone can even see your vehicle anyway. It drives me out of my mind when i see someone inconsiderate enough to be double parked close to a building. If i were rich enough to be a dick, and not worry about getting in trouble i would take a ball pin hammer to any vehicle that was double parked just to teach 'em a lesson. sorry, that was my quasi violent rant for the day...

... also, i hate when people park on the line and still think they are "in the spot". then whoever parks next to them has to barely open their door and try to suck in their gut and slide out then tuck and roll just to get away from their car. parking in a spot does not mean parking on the line with your ass end hanging over it. Sorry guys, im most definately, probably, 50% sure i'm done ranting about parking spots..... at least for today.....

Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! Go! :bananadance::amen:

When you do a part search, these are called "overfender"s by Toyota. It can be frustrating when they use a different name than what you are looking for.

On http://trdparts4u.com it is $154 for one of these painted black...

I have the worst story yet. It all started when my new Taco was 3 days old... took her to the audio shop, dropped a grand on ALARM/REMOTE START, TINT, HEAD UNIT, ALL NEW SPEAKERS - as i was sitting there watching the idiots play with the remote start, i watched one of the workers put a 3'' scratch in the rear passenger side fender. After i noticed it, they hadn't finished the job so i had to go back the next day and the kid who scratched it was the one who dropped me back off at work. It took everything in me not to ring-his-neck!

3 weeks later, parking lot ding on rear passenger door - why dont they come with painted molding?

The good news, the dealer comp'd the scratch. The bad news, the ding is still in my door.

I would have had the audio shop pay for it, plain and simple
