There are so many rtt brands ranging in price from 800-3000+.
Im just curious why everyone only ever talks about tepui and cvt?
Im in a search for a decent rtt @ a reasonable price. And have found many brands.
    Smittybilt
    Core dynamics rtt canada
    23 zero tents
    Etc
They all look like good tents and range all over in price.
Im just curious why only cvt and tepui are ever brought up, do these other brands not hold up well/build quality etc.

I also thought id mention that core dynamics has some really nice rtts and from a exchange rate standpoint you guys all basically get a 30% discount on there tents. Priced in cdn...

I've heard reall good things about cvts customer service. Buy once cry once, you get what you pay for.

    I've wondered about this too.

I've considered doing group buys on the Smittybilt or ARB tents, but I figure no one would want them.

I believe a big part of why you only mostly hear the names Tepui and CVT here on the forums is in part due to their activity here on the forums.

both cvt and tepui are members on the TW as well as other forums where as some of the companies like arb or smittybuilt are not actively posting or scanning the forums.

front runner outfitters also offers a roof top tent

there are many many many different companies now coming out wither their branded RTTs

I like to do lots research on big ticket items that I buy. So I did the same on the RTT and I ended up going with the TuffStuff Ranger. The quality of the tent was on par with the CVT and Tepui's plus I got of bunch of extras for $1400 shipped to my door. The package I ordered was for the Tent, awning, annex and LED light. When I opened the box and unpacked everything I found they also included the water proof shoe bag, a cargo net and a stuff sack.

I called CS twice before I ordered the package and they were more then happy to answer my questions and then some.

I have a tent from www.gofsr.com Smaller company, but getting bigger. Price point for me, and shipping too. I will buy from them again!

I believe almost everyone is copying each other.

CVT all the way. Build quality and customer service are on point! I'm a little biased though because I'm from Oregon where they are based. :oldglory: I think Tepui and CVT are talked about the most because they have been around the longest and the materials they use seem to be the best.

Does anyone know what the difference in length between the mounting rails is from a tepui to a CVT?

CVT is 32", curious what Tepui is.

Smittybilt lowered their price significantly just a couple weeks ago and their tents are made with good quality fabric - I had to do a few small hardware fixes, but they quickly sent out the missing parts. Very happy with mine, especially at its $750 price!
