Just bought a 2016 Tacoma SR5. I have noticed the issues shifting between gears and I’m looking for this TSB form. I bought it at car max and have 3 more days to take it back no questions asked. So I’m trying to take it to Toyota and have them take a look at it and finalize my decision about the truck.

2016 TRD Sport 4x4 here, I did notice the truck drives a lot different than most other automatics I have driven. Sometimes on highway with cruise control on it would shift down to maintain speed but overall I haven't really had a huge issue with it. I just kind of learned how the truck drives and got used to it. Maybe you can too but I have noticed a lot of people did not like it. Overall worked out okay for me!

Smart idea. Have the mechanics give it a good look over. Also find out what the brand new one's are going for and compare that to what CarMax is charging you. You might be surprised.

I'm not sure if there have been additional TSBs for the shifting issue, but this thread lists one of them:

You don't need a form. Just have Toyota fix it. My SR5 is great. Love it more than my 06 SR5.

Yes it is different than you may be used to. Plenty of good info here on TW.

OP - let us know how this turns out. CarMax around where I live are priced at new MSRP prices and they are prone to get the trim level incorrect. For example: SR's that are claimed to be SR5's and higher. They never make the mistake the other way.
