With C4 running their sale right now I'd really like to jump on getting their rear bumper but I don't want to lose my towing capability. Now I don't plan on towing anything huge but I'd just like know if anyone out there has had any experience towing with their aftermarket bumper.

From what I have gathered, most aftermarket bumpers will not state a rated load. But they are as strong if not stronger than OEM hitch.

Thats what I'm thinking. I've decided to save a little money for the time being but definitely plan on getting one

I have a Hidden Hitch on my 2004 Doublecab. It's tucked up real tight against the (stock) bumper, so I've never worried about hitting it on anything. I'd probably hit the bumper before hitting the hitch.

I plan to keep it on there once I move to an aftermarket rear bumper to retain towing capability as there aren't that many options for bumpers with integrated hitch receivers - at least in my price range, lol.
