    Wow, glad you are okay!

As others have said...lawyer up, and get medically checked out. Pain and symptoms often appear days after an accident.

Glad you were in a bigger vehicle, too. After I was rear ended in my Tacoma, my wife sold her Elantra and got an SUV. The bigger vehicle usually wins in an accident. Be safe.

Sorry, but it looks like you don’t get to have free plate bumpers :bananadance:

But it’s good your old truck protected you, says a lot for what you went through! Hope it all gets taken care of smoothly, stay well and post your new ride when you get it!

You need a thorough physical with blood, urine looking for possible organ damage. ALSO scans on that spine. Likely some herniation. Imminent crash mode: Hands off and arms up or crossed in front of you. Feet pulled back. Plant and you can break feet,ankle,knee...Been there. Even if everything check out ok you will be hurting for a while.Get compensated for work time off too. Then start stretching and get back to working out lightly asap.

I literally just turned the TV on to a Thomas J. Henry commercial.

“Were you injured in an accident by a commercial truck or fleet vehicle?”

I've been in a similar situation.

In my state the property damage is a separate settlement then medical.

You need to make DAMN sure that you don't have a single lick of pain from this. Some may pop up days or even weeks after the fact. Get checked out. Listen to your body. Get checked out again. If you need physical therapy, chiropractor, acupuncture, ANYTHING AT ALL make sure you get it done and don't stop until you're 100%. Their insurance will try and contact you as soon as possible offering you what may seem like a lot of money to settle but might actually be a shitty deal.

You're owed money for your emotional and physical pain and suffering and the amount is often based on how much your actual bills were getting that stuff corrected which is why it's important to get treatment if you need it as a result of the accident and keep track of everything.

    Lawyer up.

Holy smokes.... glad you are mostly ok OP. A semi moving even 30mph has a ridiculous amount of kinetic energy, your truck did it’s job by absorbing that for you.

Toyota builds a damn fine truck, I’ll drink to your (former) taco mdeezy

    Too few to list.
I was in a multi-vehicle accident not too long ago when a moving truck hit the car behind me and that car rear ended me. Since it was the moving truck's fault, both the car they rear ended and mine was covered by their insurance. I also used to work for a major insurance company some years back, the best advice here is to get a good auto accident lawyer. Most if not all will be free cost to you because they will be paid by the other insurance (not yours) at the end of all this. In something major like this, they will send you to a doctor for a thorough examination which will also be free to you handled by your lawyer. As for your truck, most likely it is totaled which works out on your case because you got the wrong model. You want the Off-Road with the locking diff and A-trac and not the cosmetic upgrades of the sport. The vehicle part of the claim is swift. I would say less than 30 days. The personal injury of it depending on what they find as injuries will be about 6-12 months.

    Get a lawyer immediately.
Don’t talk to their insurance, they often will record you and try to blame you somehow in order to weasel out of paying, this is where an attorney will help.
You got checked out, but now have pain, so follow up with your doctor, get more tests if needed and even consider a chiropractor of good repute, at your doctors advice of course.
Glad you are relatively ok, hope you heal up quickly.

no no and no. talc(keeps the bagdry)/sodium azide(when it burns releases nitrogen gas), initiator is likely to be either zirconium potassium chlorate, titanium hydride or boron potassium nitrate. None are toxic or rare.

    Glad you are ‘ok’.

I would avoid posting accident or your physical condition details on public forums.

My grandfather was a metallurgical engineer on the GM team that invented GM’s version of the things back in the late ‘60s. He told me that they were chock full of all kinds of nasty stuff. I must be remembering his stories about the crap that was in them (along with how expensive they were). Glad to know that crap isn’t there any more.
