Haven’t shot it. Really looking forward to taking it to the range. It’s for Christmas so I’m just buying accessories for it for now. Looked at a bunch of them before I settled on this one. It had the best ergonomics and look to it for my price range.

Nice addition. WA used to be a pretty good state for gun laws, but they've had some setbacks in recent years. Seems to be becoming more like Kalifornia every time I talk to my buddies back there.

I have several Frankenstein AR's but with the CA laws coming in 2017, I went a bought a DDM4V11 myself. I love that rifle. Its lightweight and reliable. Only difference with the V11 vs V7 is the keymod vs m-lok handguard. You can't go wrong with a DD rifle as your first rifle. I love m-lok but I wanted the Kryptek Typhon pattern and it wasn't offer in the V7 at the time. I don't think its offered yet as of today. It was just black then they added recently the Tornado grey and I think Mil Spec+ or doo doo brown.

Live here too.. Tired of these bs hippie laws as well. My AR had the bullet button, will I need to modify it more so with new upcoming laws? Also don't AR owners need to sign some new document sometime 2018?

To keep on subject of OP, bought some LED reverse lights, getting them tomorrow in the mail!

Bullet button rifles are considered a "assault weapon" now. We in CA have until July 1st 2018 to make our BB rifles compliant meaning register it as RAW, go featureless or mag lock. Or take them out of state and sell them.

So if I sign I can leave it as is? I'm planning on moving in the next couple years so maybe I'll just do that.. Don't think I could sell it tbh

I would read up on the RAW laws before you just register your rifle, I am no lawyer nor should you take others words for it, you need to know the laws before you decide. There is transportation restrictions, handling restrictions, selling restrictions, passing the rifle down restrictions, gun repair restrictions and so on:

    Too few to list.
What's the point of the right to keep and bear arms if they are "inoperable"?

Yes, you can keep and bear arms if they are this, this, and that. Free state it is not. I guess politicians and the majority of CA voters can't read.

"The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed"

    Infringement definition:
    1) the action of breaking the terms of a law, agreement, etc.; violation.
    2) the action of limiting or undermining something.

so much want, pretty sure if i buy another ar, it will be a quality daniel defense...

Put my ALG ACT trigger in my budget ar build that i built a couple of years back, also fixed my sling so it was finally on correctly. I never shoot the thing, hopefully ill start to fix that soon.

The ALG is pretty decent, well dry fire it is. Has some creep, a lighter 4.5lb pull, Quick audible reset. Minimal over travel. It was $50... not that bad of a trigger, solid upgrade i think.

there are so many things i want to do to this old ar, but i dont know if i should just buy a new one, or start to build another one, or just upgrade this one.

Holosun 515C. No cowitness on the CZ Scorpion on the low mount. Instead of using the high mount to see the irons through the hole in the spacer, I will eventually get some back up sights that will work with the low mount.
