:)Just installed Xenon Depot 35w 5k kit. I like them a lot. The cut off exceeds way better than I thought was going to be.98001C93-F002-4406-AEA7-FF3D4027D9AE.jpg 36631DAD-DF00-4BC3-A14A-49AD3ADE74EB.jpg

Planning on picking these up, did you have to remove the housing to install?

No just unplug from under the hood . Very easy installation . It was either these or Morimottos but everyone is saying the morimottos shake . That would bother me.
One note is to use the original housing spacer from the oem bulb instead of the spacer that comes with the kit .

Did you try the included gaskets? I did and have no shaking. Just wondering. I read that they updated them a while ago.

I tried the blue gaskets and they were too long I couldn’t get the bulb to squeeze in and turn. I literally sat for a hour trying without breaking them so I used the oem gasket (orange) and they are working perfect . I had the same xenon Depot kit installed on my Bmw. I recommended it

    HELP!

Been on phone with Diode Dynamics all afternoon- SO FRUSTRATED!

So I got my brake pedal/accelerator pedal warning resolved with disconnecting battery- thank you again.

Added LED to reverse, brake and turn using TT module (NO RESISTOR) on driver side only - everything works beautifully with the exception of hyperflashing.

Afraid of what happened last time, I verified with DD that one end of resistor wire can be grounded to the metal frame instead of ground wire on turn signal wiring. Other resistor wire I pigtailed into the yellow wire from module and yellow wire from turn signal as I saw on wiring diagram from this thread.

I tested by turning on hazard lights, dash shows only passenger side working!

I stripped paint off down to metal on ground( pic does not show after I sanded down); tried other resistor. Nothing on driver side signal. I removed resistor wire from yellow wires- signals work.

@mesojdm any thoughts? DD kept saying “if” the yellow wire is the power to turn signals, but should already be proven since everything works except when resistor wire added. 09871076-E330-4E91-A5D8-0A3E9A7F1275.jpg
Module wrapped in red tape under my thumb.

    Sorry I can’t help. I do sympathize.

Probably isn’t gonna make you feel better..... But damn am I glad I went with VLEDS.

Gotta disagree on brand making a difference as far as bulbs. Accessory parts....you may have a point.

    Something with the resistor

Has anyone with an ‘18 figured out if headlight mods interfere with the Safety Sense features? Lane departure, etc.
I had an engineer tell me he’s heard that LDA and other camera vision systems csn have issues due to being optimized to the appearance of the factory lights.

Hoping to figure this out so I can change my low beams, the stock halogens are the worst.

Yes I figured that much, but with the VLEDS I have no hyperflashing, lights on, off whatever. So no resistor needed. Soooooo plug and play. Any way you can return all that stuff and button up your wiring? The body ECU seems sensitive, I hope that’s not what you are up against.

Went and bought low beams and blinkers. Used link in description from OP. head out on a date night with the better half after being underway for a month. They’re so dim I turn back and take her car. Can’t see more than maybe 50 feet in front of me. Checked with fog and high beams. Yup. Not bright. Did I do something wrong? Anyone else having this issue?

I wonder how these compare to the auxbeam f16. Looks like this has more lumens with less wattage.

Ordered these. Hope they work better than the ones I had installed.... 1200 vs. 8000 looks promising. Thanks for the info.

The first thing I did was put the Morimotos in my Tacoma and they don't shake. They can be a little fiddly. You need to get the adaptor ring seated snugly onto the bulb, then get the entire assembly seated in the headlight housing. If you get both clicked into place, there's no shake. Oh, and they're extremely bright, the throw is very good, and the cutoff is right below the level of the deck line on almost all cars so you're not blinding people with their rearview mirror when you come up to a stop behind them.

So I read somewhere that the LED lights will cause the lens of the headlight to turn yellow over time? Is this accurate does anyone know?

I hit the link and the interior kit is $75. Isn't that a bit much for what you are trying to accomplish? I can see paying $30 at the most...but $75 seems a bit over kill.
