Whenever I ask how to do something they look at me like I'm stupid yet when they get mad at me because I get frustrated with the computer they say why didn't I ask. I just quit saying anything

It is very popular as a back up piece. Because it can be hidden in almost any clothes shorts and T-Shirts etc. Is It a caliber I would choose no but that is personal I am used to heavier calibers, that said I did recently switch from SS .45 compact to a Tupperware (Glock) .40 at 5'8 and 180 it is very concealable in shorts with an un-tucked T-Shirt. The choice is really yours and what you are comfortable handling , carrying, using. Mind you wearing a concealed requires a weapon capable of standing up to body sweat and being drenched in rain etc etc. If you are not completely familiar with semi's and practice drawing from concealed, firing etc you might consider a revolver. Unless you are uniformed carrying a large capacity weapon is really pointless concealed is self and others and not for a protracted gun fight. YMMV

When I or my wife need help with the iPad or iPhone, we ask out teenage daughter. She'll roll her eyes, rattle off some cryptic code that we're supposed to understand and then retreat back into her phone...

I hear college is so expensive because they know parents will gladly pay it to get their teenagers out of the house!
