I'm just worried I don't have a good spot for the resi. Also with the top of the shock forward of the axle a bit, I think the attached resi will clear. And there's no hose to leak...

I tried it both ways and I didnt see a big difference. Hell it was hard to keep the truck from lifting off the side that was compressed... it wanTed to lift off the jack stands. I stood on the drum and my dad pushed on the shackle forward til the it was straight with the spring... that was where I had my mom measures for droop lol

Do what Brett did with the resi. Attach them to your X inside of the frame. You can get fittings and long enough hose to reach.

I was just going to say, get a couple 90s and mount the resi on the inside of the frame.

More spots to leak though... I need to bolt the new spacers up and wheels and flex it again and see what my best options are

This is pretty in line with what I would figure. I’ll definitely try to see if I can determine if it even matters when I cycle my Expos. It probably doesn’t.

I do have some practical engineering knowledge to go along with some fancy book learning, but I’ll almost always defer to those with direct experience. I’ve seen engineers do some pretty dumb shit.

Oh, and thanks for the heads up about @Lumpskie ’s build!

Run a longer hose to put the resi at the back of the wheel well. I can do it for you or measure out how far back you want/need it to be and let DSM know to make it that way. Don't worry about the resi hose leaking. if assembled correctly they will be just fine.

Well right on, that makes me feel better coming from you man! Like I said I'll toss the tire on again and see about where the resi would fit

I make custom hoses for Fox 2.0's all the time. T4R are about 26" long and 2nd gen Taco are 20ish. They operate just fine and have no issues. See if DSM will put the 2.5 Comp adjuster resi on the 2.0 smooth body shock. If valved right could work awesome for a 2.0.

    You guys rang?

Just getting caught up here... my opinion on leaf spring bind and my Orbit Eyes. I didn't get more travel on an RTI ramp. What I did end up getting was a lot more useful travel in within the same range. @Squeaky Penguin Thanks for pinging me. I ended up pulling leafs out after the time we wheeled Chinaman Gulch together. What I ended up with was a suspension that moved really freely within a certain range of travel. On my stock location rear shocks, I would extend the shock to 27 and a quarter inches commonly on the trail. My whole approach was to see how far I could push a suspension with stock mounting locations. By the end, I could use over 11" of travel out of my 12" travel shocks.

What did all my playing around teach me? In the end, it would have been easier to go chevy 63s!

She's almost done! Removed the charcoal canister and made a bracket to hold the new Willwood proportioning valve. Then I got busy making lines. Came out freaking sweet. Threw the lspv in the trash;)

Really glad KOH starts tomorrow. One because it's fun to watch, two.... my shocks should be built now;) too many race teams neeed shock work so they took priority over my bucket :/

Lots more races than KOH, it's the start of the season for all desert racing. Parker, San Felipe, PrimmMint, Norra. Plus all the smaller So Cal races all up to April. DSM didn't have them in stock?

No. Jace has a sensitive rear end so he had to custom valve them. :D
