Just got a brand new 2017 TRD off-road about a month ago. I just noticed today on the driver side rear bumper that it's misaligned. I also noticed some small scrapes on the middle plastic part of the bumper on the bottom. I wonder if someone backed into it while I was parked somewhere. In any case, do you guys know how difficult (and expensive) it would be to fix something like this? Should I just take it to a body shop? Thanks

It could be your bed. Check the clearance from your bed to cab on both sides. My brothers tundra is like that.

The stock bumper is crap and can be adjusted where you want it's 95% plastic with a piece of thin sheetmetal holding it together.

It is more likely that your bed is misaligned. Easy fix. Just search it and buy a Torx T55 tool to loosen the bolts and straighten your bed.

Yes and no the end caps sit wherever there locked down . Maybe start by measuring the distance between the cab and bed first on both sides to check bed alignment . No reason to kick the bed sideways over a chincy bumper .Although it may be .Or both.

I'm still a n00b as this is my first truck, but isn't the bumper connected to the bed? Wouldn't the bumper just move with the bed and maintain the same misalignment?

Nope it piggybacks off the receiver hitch that mounts directly to the frame.

Connects to the frame and it’s adjustable. Search it or Google it. Took me about an hour.

Yep - My right side was off. I just pushed on it to bend it onto place.
