Needless to say I was not expecting to run the Rubicon today. Super happy we made it through with very minimal damage. Great driving everyone!

    Some really cool shit

No noise. Worked on my truck Friday night after 8 hours at work. Stayed up late to re-install lights on the bumper. A bitch when the bumper is already installed. Then removed front wheels to lube TC uppers. Got distracted at the end of the job, and forgot to torque down the lugs nuts on the right front. It would have been the last task that night. Just completely spaced out. Could have been a very costly mistake. Got to Placerville and something didn't feel right. In my mind, I started retracing my steps of the night before, and came to the realization that I had not finished the lug nuts. While we were waiting for those that had not made the light at the turn off from HWY 50, I jumped out to tighten them down. In the process I broke off two studs. Stopped right there and just snugged up the rest. One mile to Sierra Tire and Wheel. They had me in and out in 40 minutes. Played air hockey with my nephew while we waited. Great people at that shop. Managed to catch up with the crew at the Loon Lake spillway. Missed the Georgetown toy drop off, but gave all my goodies to Rob to drop off before he left me at the tire shop. Then missed out on the group photo, but those stops by you guys allowed me to catch up. $124 lighter in the wallet, but a damn cheap price to pay considering what might have been.

Glad to hear it all worked out and nothing extremely bad happened. And you got to have fun out at the slabs.

Well i took my own little wheeling adventure and high centered on a block of snow/ice. While i was trying different recovery strategies, a nice guy in a tundra gave me a little tug backwards and i was able to get off and go around. Got my tree and a little Charlie brown tree for my mom. Had a good time.

Definitely glad you made the entire trip safely. Was surprised to hear you calling out on the radio not more than 20 minutes behind us. Guess it helped we took long-ish stops.

Your donations made it safely to Georgetown
