I still fondly remember using Seafoam one time, years ago, thinking it would be hilarious to drive around with obnoxious amounts of smoke billowing out of my exhaust... an hour of driving around, and nothing. My dumb ass thought the effect of running Seafoam through the gas tank would be the same as the intake manifold. It was not. I was the dumb.

Oh and I couldn't tell a bit of difference after running it through my gas tank. Probably as useful as that BG44K crap.

Never used it on a vehicle, but the stuff works great in outboard motors.1 pint in 3 gallon gas tank for a shock treatment.Sure can tell the difference afterwards.

Seafoam deep creep is wonderful stuff for frozen/rusted stuff.

When I was selling parts for a living, the local school district was one of our biggest customers. They were buying Lucas from us in the drum and using it religiously.

This was about the time school buses were switching from gasoline to diesel, they had one particular bus that would run for a while and begin bogging down. When the owner and distributors of Seafoam were doing a promotional event that required us to drive them around to the various shops and customers that would benefit from their products, we stopped by the bus barn. Brian, the head mechanic said that they would buy 10 cases of their products if they could "cure" this bus. I watched the owner remove the fuel filters and fill them up with Seafoam, and then crank the engine and do a modified introduction thru the intake via a low vacuum hose, about halfway through the process the bus, for lack of a better description, belched and I kid you not, we scooped the soot up off of the floor with a shovel.

Brian said after that this particular bus never gave an ounce of trouble.

They had a 16oz cup that they used to put Lucas in with every fill up, they switched to Seafoam and he said that fuel consumption went down and actually offset the cost of the 16oz Seafoam treatment at every fuel up.

I also saw the same old man from Seafoam cure a 1981 Silverado 4x4 with a 305 that required you to feather the throttle to keep it running, power steering pump was squealing and the owner said it shifted hard. Did the deep treatment on the engine, poured a cap full in the PS pump, 2/3 can in the tank with less than a 1/4 tank and the remaining 1/3 can in the transmission. Waited 10 minutes and the owner of Seafoam and the owner of Western Transportation took the truck and drove off in a serious cloud of smoke and clattering. They came back about 30 minutes later, just about the time we were getting ready to go look for them, Bart jumped out and stood beside the truck, idling and not squealing and told me to order him a drum or 20 cases, whichever I could get to him the soonest.

I witnessed more real world scenarios over the next week, everyday people and vehicles, and I was sold.

    YMMV

It's good stuff. I also use it in rusty motorcycle fuel tanks, pour a bottle of sea foam in, and a cartoon of copperhead bb's. Shake it for about 10 minutes, let it sit for a day. Shake it again. Dump it all out, wash it with gas. Looks brand new

I have repaired main rotor blades for the 214 St, massive composite blades

You sure it was composite? The 214 big lifter had a composite d-spar with metal laminate folded over it bonded to aluminum honeycomb in the back on the trailing edge. The 214ST got a 1 hour dry run trans and I though it had fiberglass main rotor blades with about 2 or 3 inches more chord length? I never flew the ST. Just the BigLifter dropping fire retardant up in BC. Of all the helicopters I have flown,it was by far my favorite. So much power yet so smooth. Unloaded with half fuel I could pull up on collective to max EGT and it would climb straight up at over 70 mph vertical speed, around 7000 ft/min

I guess fiberglass is technically a type of composite

I work for Bell Helicopter, the ST is basically a fiberglass version of the Cobra main rotor blade

Need some help in finding the vaccuum hose for the SeaFoam treatment. I have a 2011 TRD and the brake booster area seem different than the pictures I'm finding online.

That is because you do not have a vacuum assisted brake booster. Yours is boosted with a electric pump that round doohicky next to the master cylinder tank.

If you are going to use sea foam just dump it into the gas tank as it was intended to be used. There is no need to suck it into the intake with a vacuum line.
