To be clear, I won't say anything about someone's life choices if they are happy with where they are. What grinds my gears is when folks don't want to work but expect to be able to live like they do, then try to blame everyone but their own lack of motivation for where they are in life.

e: also right there with you on mandatory military service. If nothing else, it teaches teamwork and respect (usually), which are two really important skills to have
