So I go to take the front wheel off of my '97 T-100 4x4 thinking an easy rotor/brake pad change. nope. so now I'm trying to get one of the spline nuts (ref. 12mm) off of the front disc (not sure of its part name). I'm most likely going to have to grind it off as it won't catch the thread to losen off. Therefore, I'm going to need a new set of nuts and bolts to reinstall the sucker. does anyone know of a place I can find these as a set of nuts, bolts, and washers?

I attached a picture of the disc with nut and bolts I'm talking about. Thank you for any suggestions folks!

Use dremel or cutting wheel, notch it then use flathead and BFH to help it move.

Got a torch to heat it up?

Thanks for your response. my main problem is just finding the correct nuts, bots, and washers to replace these with once I can put it back on.

Should be able to find comparable ones in nut/bolt section at HD/Lowes

Are T100 hubs like the old solid axle and torsion IFS?

If so, those might be the cone washers that you're referring to. Loosen the nuts, you can remove them but I used to leave them on loose. Use a brass drift or brass head hammer and smack the studs. The cone washers will pop out.

The whole hub comes off with the rotors bolted to back in the old assembly.

Not sure about a splined nut back then.

This^^ theres cone washers under those nuts you have to wack the studs and the washers will pop out. If you remove the rotor you have to repack the wheel bearing.
Edit: I miss repacking wheel bearing, I wish the tacomas where that way

Exactly those cone washers are what I was thinking of. do you know if I could just find a single nut and bolt at the hadware store and reuse the washer? it's only one nut that spins but won't tighten or loosen. Also, since the rotors are bolted on, do I need a special kind of rotor?

    Thanks a lot

That sounds like the stud threads have stripped off under the nut or the nut itself. You may be able to grab the nut with Visegrips and pull back to grab an intact thread.

If it's just the nut then it's nothing special, an 8mmx1.25 nut from the hardware store.

If it's the stud that stripped it's hard to say if that will be something you'll find at the hardware store but any metric supply will have something that works.

This is what you're up against: Stud, cone wash, lock washer and nut.

You may be able to double nut the end of the stud and take the whole thing out, if it hasn't rusted completely to the hub. Take a second nut, tighten them together on the end of the stud and you should be able to back the whole thing out. Alternatively grab the stud with a Visegrip and twist it out, but this will almost definitely ruin the threads so it would be the last resort for me.

It kind of looks like someone already replaced one stud with a bolt.

The rotors aren't special, there are 6 bolts that hold it to the hub. It'll make sense when you get it apart.

Around here HomeDepotLowes is a poor place to get threaded fasteners. They have a poor selection and their prices are 3 to 4 times what others charge.
I go to Tacoma Screw Products, knowledgeble helpful people and they've always had anything I've needed.
They appear to be under Hardware Store and Building Supplies catagories on the web. I'd be surprised if you area doesn't have an analogous company.
