If you've done an engine swap where did you buy your used/remanufactured/new engine from?

My taco has been throwing a PO304 code. I swapped the coil pack with another to see if the code would follow it, it didn't. I've bought new plugs. Still throws the code on the same cylinder. I finally borrowed a pressure kit and a bore scope and found moisture in the cylinder.

    I'm near Atlanta, Ga.

    Thanks in advance.

If you are competent enough to do the swap, why not just replace the gasket?

Time mainly. Swap takes less time. If I replace the gasket I'll need to get the heads machined. That au least three days if not more.

You're right about time. Swap is way more time friendly. This is easily done in a few hours. Don't even have to pull the radiator.

Only need to machine the heads of there is steam erosion or they are out of tolerance.
