Thank you for the information. I am not sure how far back you moved it, but why not make two different mounting hole options on your hangers? This way people could choose what they would like to do in regards to the rearward relocation of the hanger. This could increase business with those who are skeptical, and allow people to make changes if they change other parts of their rear suspension system. We can all agree the stock hangers are flimsy and swapping it out with a more beefy one will benefit the truck.

Whether or not moving the shackle rearward would be beneficial seems that it would vary depending on each persons particular rear suspension setup. Im not saying trying to say which product is better, I just think people should do research and try to understand the differences and try to figure out what would work best for their setup. In my particular case, with a shock relocation, Dakars (designed for stock mounting points) and 12" kings, the stock shackle does not limit my droop, nor my bump travel. The stock hanger allows the springs, and shock to achieve a full range of motion. Therefor I would not see a reason to move the pivot point of the shackle.
I would have to cycle the suspension to be sure, but in my particular setup if the hanger was moved rearward, and I did not purchase your optional longer shackle, It seems like I would loose droop due to the spring-shackle pivot location being moved rearward. The springs would not be allowed to arch as much and would be required to be flatter to span the longer distance. The springs would also be even more inverted at full bump due to the hangers being longer, but the shackle being stock length.

Yeah I like the LCE design more. I would've gone with them but their 3.0 headers aren't CA smog legal and I do want to be street legal. Otherwise they look virtually the same. Maybe easier y pipe set up

For yours, the LCE ones are definitely better. They're long tubes which put out more power. You won't see huge gains on a stock engine but if you continue to add to it the LCEs will definitely have more gains. They talk abou it a little bit in this video.

Plus it says you don't have to worry about any dipsticks if you have a manual. Sounds like its time for a 5 speed swap :boink:

Remember that I have to design something to work with every aftermarket spring out there. That said, there is no benefit of stock location over where I choose to put it vs stock hangers, even with Dakars. You are correct, the shorter Dakars can droop out with stock shackle laid out to about 5 degrees above horizontal in stock hanger. My HH can let the shackle hit about 15 degrees below horizontal, putting rear of spring about 2" lower (1" at the axle) making up for pulling the Dakars back a bit, but also resulting in less fanning out of leaves in the Dakar pack. You are also correct that the Dakars can benefit from a longer shackle with my hangers, like the 1st gen Tundra shackles, or maybe my 4.9" shackles will be good, not tested yet with Dakars.
Even you will gain droop with stock shackles if you aren't currently shock limited. If you want to discuss over the phone, I'd be happy to.

Thanks for bringing up a valid point, and believe me I took that into account, but I wasn't about to pigeon hole my design for 1 spring on the market. My preproduction design had 2 locations, but it felt complicated, so I went to 1 position.

Costs a lot more than that new that's for sure. See if everything works out well, kc specific replacement parts can be expensive.
For example, the cost for me to get 2 replacement housings for my old setup is more than the price of buying everything brand new

I've got better things to spend 200 bucks on than lights. That's like 1/6 the cost of a bumper. I don't think they'd even fit on my bars with my current setup. Good deal for sure but I've got no real use for lights. Only light I want to buy right now is a single amber

We didn't check out the mine, wanted to get to camp with some daylight left.
Aside from the shooting area at the entrance of Berdoo which is all tagged up, we didn't see anything. Not sure where it happened, but most likely a mine trail.
