I was looking at your skids yesterday. You've definitely done a number on them. Are those aluminum or steel?

    Whoops already answered lol

They've had quite the year. I got them for Christmas last year. We wheeled a lot at Hidden Falls BEFORE they bulldozed it all and then this last trip those ledges definitely gave the skids a work out.

Well my boyfriend and I both like race cars, 4WD, and guns so Christmas and Birthdays usually gifts for each other come in the form of parts or new additions for one of the 3.

He's doing well. Work has been busy AF so he doesn't get on TW much. I'm trying to get him to come out to C&C with me one month so everyone can meet him.

Need some help from the group here. Ready to pull the trigger on new wheels and tires. Tires i'm set on, but wheels i'm still up in the air.

@Texoma and I spoke Sunday regarding wheels but I just want to make sure I'm doing my math right here so I don't have serious rubbing issues resulting in me needing to trim a bunch. Interested in a set of Relation Race Wheels. Below is the spec.

    Model: RR5-V
    Spec:
    17x8.5 +0 | 6x5.5
    Finish: | Matte Black |
    Back Spacing: 4.75"
    Offset: +0

With 4 3/4" backspacing and +0 offset I shouldn't have any issues running a 285/70 right? I am ditching the mud flaps and don't believe I'll have to do that much trimming if any with that that much back spacing? I don't believe i'll have any clearance issues either with my UCA's either? I appreciate the input on this. I really like this wheel except for the gold/bronze colored bolts but I can fix that when I get them and before they get mounted.

Ray from RRW is running a different style of wheel but same specs as above and states in this thread ( https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/welcoming-the-rr2-v-17x8-5-0.511700/page-4 ) he's not rubbing except in reverse and full lock.......but he's in a 3rd gen. Again I appreciate any input and if its better to chat through PM and not clog up the Austin thread, by all means let me know and we can chat.

    Thanks gang!

I would assume that's correct. I know on my 4R an 8 inch wheel with a 0 offset and 4 inch backspace doesn't cause rubbing and cleared factory UCA's with 285/75/17 Nittos.
