That suck, but I get the situation, my father is in the same position. Ripped his bicep last spring and doctor won't let him work before it is all healed. He can't stand doing nothing. Have to say his moral took a drop...

They're hinting I won't beable to do my job anymore, oddly, I really don't care as long as they find me something else to do and I don't take a big cut in pay

Will they work to find you something? Or leaving you doing it alone? Here they are willing to pay for some school to get a grade in something else

I really don't know to be honest. This is a right to work state and legally if the doc says no they can fire me. Large cooperations like I work for usually don't they usually train you to do something that falls within your physical abillities. I've become such an asshole most don't want to be around me much anymore and I can understand that

Southern most tip of Texas got snow. It had been 13 years since the last time we got snow. As you can see in the snowman pic, those are palm trees in the back. We live in semi tropical weather. Mother nature through us for a loop

I hope they'll find you something if you like where you are! it is not always pleasant to find something new, learn the new job, learn the new people, make your proof and bla bla bla...

which animals were you hunting? Whitetail?

This morning is crazy:goingcrazy: had some snow last night, roads were ugly this morning, and by the end of the day we should have around 6-8" on the ground. Time to get the snowblower out!

You get way too much snow for me. Deer hunting but also bear hunting. I've had several deer that were within 20 yards just didn't feel like shooting and I've seen 5 bears so far the one I saw last I went laid down within 25 yards for about 20 minutes just nothing big enough to shoot

How big of a deer are you going for with the east coast deer? I think around here a decent one is above 100 pounds. Luckily I already bagged my deer this year...240 pound 12 point mully over in Kansas. That thing was no fun to haul out though.

I'll put meat in freezer at some point. I killed 1 here a few years ago field dressed 200 pounds 12 point so it seems I'm always watching and waiting for another. I try to hold off for at least a decent 8 the one I killed last year was around 160 pounds. I didn't k ow you hunted

No baits makes things much more harder! but even with bait, it is mostly females and young bucks that goes in. If you want that big one you need to find him! Spring season is only for bears. here we are allowed to catch 2 in a year. 1 in spring and 1 in fall, or if nothing is caught in spring you can get 2 in fall

Props to you for holding out...if Im going out to hunt and getting up early and frozen I do what I can to not get skunked. I don't really hunt much unless its with my old man, but yea my whole family pretty much hunts as their main hobby. I do it more or less to bond with the old man now.
