The same shit everyone else has.
I'm kicking around the idea of rebuilding my retrofits using a set of OEM "smoked" '08-'11 style headlights.

As much as I like them the way they are, I think I kinda wanna go back to a slightly more OEM+ kinda look.

Most of the retrofits I see are typically painted black or color matched or left chrome. I can't recall seeing any '08-'11 "smoked" headlights turned into retrofits and left with the OEM finish inside.

Let's see some pictures of em if you got em.

I picked up a set of OEM Smoked headlamps and gonna swap those bezels over to my retrofits. The current retrofits i have is OEM headlamps painted gunmetal and while they're good looking, i prefer the oem black chrome housings more. Will post pics when done.

Finally found what I was looking for, now Im not sure how I feel about em. Almost too light compared to what's currently on the truck. Maybe?

Bump, does anyone have a Silver Streak Tacoma with retrofit'd OEM "smoked" lights?

Try the classifieds on here. Im sure you could find a decent set of used OEM ones. Thats what I did for my first set of retrofits.

2015 lights, but I was really happy with the shroud painted to match the housings, leaving the reflector chrome. No bulging eyeball look.

Hmmmm i feel the same way. Maybe i need to see it on the truck about 10-20 feet out. It looks oem which is what i like. I only thing i did different to my current retrofits is replaced the turn signal bulb with a yellow bulb and slightly smoked the orange reflector otherwise it looks exactly like yours.

I do. My current photos have dirty headlights or the arb bumper hoops are in the way. I also removed the Amber corner reflector. My blinker lenses are yellowing as well. I'll take some better pics tomorrow. I will be redoing them in the future.
