I have a 2003 tacoma trd sr5 with 3.4 v6. I recently had a front 4 wheel drive actuator issue and while fixing that problem i was checking my suspension and steering components. I noticed my cv axles had play in them while pushing up and down. Its not a ton but ive been having a clunking noise in my front end since i bought the truck. Theyve installed a new frame under it just a year ago and i still have the same issue. Could that be the issue or should the front cv's have up and down play? My seals are good and my cv boots are good also.

Since you're a 2003 you'd probably get better results posting in the 1st gen section.
