    Besides Ledger...

What is a wallet that I can use today?

    Greenaddress?
    Blockchain?

Don't want to do just a straight up paper wallet....

And would want to have easy access to it if I was at work, so nothing installed on work computer.

And I'm planning to buy more. Banks are going to have to adapt. I'm kind of betting on a forced hand, but I can tell you that the banking industry REALLY doesn't want to collapse. So we'll see.

Pure speculation and straight daydreaming, and no, it'll never happen... but if it hits BTC numbers, I'll sponsor a TW Crypto Thread M&G in Moab and cover everyone's gas money to get there.

Anyone using TA to plan your trades? I was hoping we could use this thread to teach/learn together, so I am going to post a chart and my thoughts and would welcome others feedback etc.

    upload_2017-12-12_15-50-59.jpg

This chart is showing the price of Litecoin compared to USD on Coinbase specifically. Each candle represents the trading during one hour. Right now it looks like there is a pretty strong support somewhere in the neighborhood of $350 (horizontal green line) as well as a pretty strong resistance around $380 (horizontal green line) that have each been tested multiple times over the last 9 hours. I have also identified a not particularly well defined bullish support line (the diagonal green line). My thoughts are that Litecoin will do one of 2 things in the next 8-10 hours until the bullish support intersects with the support at $350.

1.) It will break the resistance at $380 and just continue upwards for a bit before establishing a new resistance and support which will require new analysis.

2.) It will break the support at $350 and go down and test the bullish support line. This means the price could fall to anywhere between $295 and $350 depending on how soon this happens. If this scenario happens it would be time for another analysis to try and predict its path from there.

EDIT FOR DISCLOSURE: I do not have any positions in Litecoin. I chose it because many of the people in this group do so I figure it would be of particular interest.

For the record, that included Tier 3 Verification time, the money transferred in a few hours after requesting it from my bank. I also did two deposits to ensure the first one went through before my big one, so I just ate the extra wire fee of $14.

Up 65% overnight right now. Holy crap.

Green means during that hour the price closed higher than it opened and red means the opposite, that it closed lower than it opened. Also I dont know if you can see it, but for each green/red bar there is a thin line that runs through it vertically. The top and bottom of this line represents the high and low values that occurred during that hour of trading which obviously can be different than the open/close values.

To add a bank accoutn you need to be the next Tier. You could do that if you already had a wallet and owned coins.

Remember, BTC relative to each coin will go opposite! It's not a simple "X=USD", they have "X=Y" exchange rates too.

If XRP/BTC goes up, BTC/XRP goes down. Basically, if a currency goes up MORE % than another, it will make the exchange rate between the two go down.

I've seen/heard/read all kinds of stock market chart analysis stuff and my thoughts on it are that it's not very scientific or objective as people would like it to be. If you could look at charts and trends and stuff and make accurate predictions then everyone would and then their predictions would no longer be accurate.

I know that sounds confusing but the fact is that historical data has absolutely zero affect on how free market pricing will perform. Even valuations and profitability evaluations and all that crap has nothing to do with exchange pricing except, and this is the key..., in the way that it affects the perceptions of the players.
The ONLY thing that affects the pricing of this stuff is "how much someone is willing to buy or sell it for". That's it.
If enough participants think a stock or coin will go up, it will. If enough think it will go down, it will.

I think you'd be better served to study people than charts.
It would be interesting to use google analytics or something like that to see how searches for "bitcoin" correlated with the price of bitcoin. Something like that I think would be a much more accurate predicter.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I don't know a damn thing about anything and my thoughts and opinions are worth exactly what you paid for them :D

Thanks for the response. The sentence I bolded in your quote stuck out to me because while identifying trends on a chart is called technical analysis, what you described is called sentimental analysis and is a very important part of trading. There is also fundamental analysis too. The three should all be used together to make decisions on trading. Sounds like you would favor sentimental analysis in your decision making process. I just wanted to try and spice up this thread with something other than the OMG did you see the price of XXX coin?!? posts. If we all learn something thats great even if no one ever uses it. At least with my post it will be interesting to come back and revisit it in 10-12 hours to see how my predictions fared. If nothing else it will give you the opportunity to give me the big ole "I told you so!"
