I have installed small bolt type led lights in my bed, can I somehow group the positives together and the negatives so I have one wire for each to hook up to my external extra fuse box? I would rather just one one pos and one negative wire from the bed to the fuse box...

You sure can. Join up all positives and all negatives then either butt connect or solder together to one wire, run to fused switch which runs to battery (or however your heart fancies), done.

Reviving the thread.... Alright folks, I've searched high and low here with little luck.

So I have 4 Baja Designs Squadron Pro pod lights that I would like to wire up to my roof rack, I would like them all on one switch (I have a switch pros 8 panel I'm also installing) my question is would I be able to splice all the positives into one wiring harness?

My understanding through a little research is a 14g copper wiring harness can handle up to 15amps, each pod draws 3.33amps for a total of 13.32amps which makes me think this is a possibility. Also each switch on the Switch Pros board can handle 18amps. As long as I don't exceed the max amp on the wiring harness and the max amp that the switch pros can handle, theoretically this should work, right??

I know there is an option to use a fuse box and/or relays, but I don't know exactly how they work when wiring to Switch Pros... Also per Switch Pros this would not be REQUIRED so long as I don't exceed their 18amps per switch.... Help!!

Please don't bash too hard, I understand electrical can be tricky and there are hazards with it, I'm hoping to learn from some of you seasoned guys. Thanks!

wire guage is dertermined by length and amp draw, not just amp draw alone. Running from the battery back to the bed pulling 160+ watts id want at least a 10awg wire. And even at 10awg you wouldnt want to pull much more off that same line at the same time.
