    Some really cool shit
I can not with my plano winching gear carrier and a three inch lift. But, I also have two other vehicles that go in the garage. But even without the gear on top I could barely fit in garage due to work bench I built. The ass of the truck was up against the work bench, and the nose was up against the garage door. No way to walk around the truck. That was the end of that experiment.

Simple ... throw away the crap you never use and you will be amazed that you can fit a vehicle (or two) in the garage.

If you have a kick ass garage with 8 foot or 10 foot high doors it will work.

    I don't know.

I have 2 kids and a wife, live in a condo in the Los Angeles area, have limited storage, and we still manage to keep the garage clear enough to fit both cars in there.

How if I had a house with a driveway or street parking that could be different. I would park the truck outside and use the space in the garage as a work area.

Oh I value the ability to use a garage as a garage and not as a storage bay. The point I was making is that you can't just decide one day that you're going to throw things away when a wife and kids are in the mix. Unless of course all of it is your crap to begin with or you simply don't care if anything in the pile has sentimental value to someone else.

I love having a garage that I can work on my truck and car for simple stuff . I can store one car only but that’s fine. I also use my garage as a work out space . My wife on the other hand thinks garages are for storing . So we’ve compromised somehow..lol I will say this, I can’t wait until my 2nd baby is past 3-4 . I would be purging and donating their stuff . I barely have stuff but my wife is a different story. I have to force her to purge from time to time .

Any of you have experience with putting a mattress in the bed w/ your shell? I measured it out, with the tail down I have 80" of length with 42" of width ( in between wheel wells) to work with. Also have a tent for the back of the tail: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/show-me-your-shell.13598/page-324#post-16661393

Looking at buying this mattress, it rolls up and seems like it will be a perfect fit, any have experience with this?

Not yet but my dad has. Going to get the wood and then just a memory foam and add some sleeping bags and pillows. Surfboards underneath.

@ToyoDrew , The one on my truck is the DAC mid size truck tent
To Buy on Amazon ( could probably buy one here on the forums for less tho )
    https://www.amazon.com/DAC-Mid-Size-Truck-Tent/dp/B00BYA10F4
    Official Site
    http://1dac.com/

I bought mine here on the forums though. I tried sleeping back there once and I was miserable, I am 6'1" and needed the extra leg room,
found this and can't tell you how much I enjoy it!

Nice! I may do this as well, so much more room that way! I've seen some builds with PVC pipe as the foundation and wood beams/plywood for the top.
