I believe I blew my engine

last night I was doing something stupid try to do a see if I could get 12 psi of boost. So on entering the ramp of the free way I put my truck to low gear (L) then forgot to shift up the Rev limiter bounce off like 4 time then I shifted up. I also think it was too late, car almost immediately feel funny and sound f up. Less than 1 exit the car over heat. Got off the highway and get towed. The number 1 cylinder only have 90psi compression and the rest is low too. Like 120.
Do anyknow if this engine would fit?

if you have the v6 originally then yes itll be a simple swap.

 

Yep totally replace it without finding out what actually happened to it.

The rev limiter SHOULD prevent the engine from over revving to the point of damage unless something was already close to failure.

 

or trade it in!

 

Not when boosted you need to upgrade fuel delivery to handle those high rpms

 

I've hit that limiter several times with a m/t without issue. something might have been broke prior?
imo you should have your engine rebuilt, it might wind up being a better choice, just sayin

I have the 2.55 pulley and try to see if I can get 12psi I guess that what kill it. put a little oil in the cylinder the compression come up to 140 believe the ring is bad and also the engine sound like shit

What did you have for tuning? Upgraded Injectors? Upgraded fuel pump?

 

Guys any help? I believe all 1grfe are the same the only different is secondary air pump or not?

 

I have ucon and 7th injector and fuel pump upgrade
