Don’t know all the ins and outs of it but some class action law suit was settled over the summer. Toyota sent out a letter saying the warranty on frame is now 15 years , even if the truck was never undercoated. DISCLAIMER Local Toyota guy told me about it might be true might be all false, I tried to do some research with no luck.

If they are replacing 2nd gen frames under the 15 year warranty sprayed or not then their might be hope for hi ho silver 2004

    Pretty much stock right now
When I was following the class action lawsuit against Toyota on the 2nd gen Tacoma frames, the only references made to the 1st gen frames was to illustrate the ongoing problem Toyota has had with the trucks. The settlement reached has no bearing on the voluntary actions (implementing a conditional 15 year extended warranty on the 1st gen frames) Toyota took with the 1st gens.

I have a 2003 and a 2010. I'm waiting for a new frame for the 2010. I don't know if the 2003 frame would still qualify for replacement if it fails inspection? Any thoughts on a 2003?

15 years from manufacture of you truck. So the 2003 could still qualify. But sometimes the manufacture date of a 2003 is in late 2002. You should bring it in now and get it checked and see what they say.

It's actually 15 years from date of first use. There's a website that you can plug your vin in and it will reply with date of first use. https://www.toyota.com/owners/vehicle-specification

If the truck was inspected and undercoated during toyota's allotted time period

^ yes to both. it does not have to be "undercoated" but it did have to be "inspected" during the campaign.

it still also has to "qualify" to be replaced. if they find no holes you're still not getting a frame. :)

Right above sway bar you can see where the frame has rusted behind the coil spring
