    Hey guys,

I have a 2008 that I bought one year ago when it was 80k miles. Now it has 92K miles. Over the course of the year, the coolant on the reservoir tank loses about half in about 2K miles. No sign of leak, white smoke from exhaust, and engine oil looks good.

Are there any stuff I should take a look at?

    Thanks,
    tractng

Or you can check the plastic pipe between your water pump and heater core mine was cracked and I replaced it with a metal pipe from a 2009+ model year 2.7

$70 at the local Toyota dealership

Look for pink crusty stuff around the thermostat housing if it's the bypass pipe.

Can you actually see the leak at the other end if there is one (near driver end) on the water bypass line? So far, saw some pink crusty at the connector of the reservoir tank on top (the hose looks fine outside but I didn't pull it out).

You'd have to be under the truck I think to see the other end of the bypass line.

Maybe get some simple green and a water hose and go to town under the hood. Drive it around for a week or two then check again. It'll be easier to spot crusty dried antifreeze if the engine is pretty clean. When the bypass on mine was leaking it would be dry after I got done driving normally and sometimes I could tell where antifreeze was dripping if it had sat overnight but not all the time.

need to remove the - clampon the battery then take out the throttle body and intake manifold off (going to need to move some wires) the 3 hoses by the firewall the one small one is a big bitch to take out and put back in, i also take out the tranny dip stick plus remove the starter and you should be good (you going to need 2 things of coolant to fill the truck) it took me about 3 hours to do and that with a lift
