I'm thinking about putting a new head unit into my 2017 Tacoma. My only worry is all of the customs options that are controlled by the factory unit. Things like lock functions, the way the fob works, the way the lights operate, etc...

If I change the head unit, is there another way I can control those options? OBD2?

    Thanks for the help!

The Carista app with a WiFi or Bluetooth connected OBDII dongle should work to change any of those settings.

I've been looking into Carista. Looks like it would be the perfect work around, but the website says that it doesn't support customizations for the 2017 Tacoma. Has anybody had it working on a 2017?
