I keep my SSP on level 3. If disconnect it from under the dash (not changing the connections under the center console) and then reconnect, will it remember it is in level 3?

Going for 10,000 mile service tomorrow.

only have the ssp with one version but would have to say the level (1,2,3) is part of the ssp not your ECU - so the answer is it will run in the mode you have the ssp set to when connected to the truck.

    Don't know about map retention...
Reminder to turn the SSP switch to 'off' or disconnect under the console, otherwise you'll get the 3 beeps alarm.

What happens if I pull the OBD connector for cleaning or servicing and forget to plug it back in?
If the device loses connection with the vehicle OBD while in use, it will automatically cancel and revert back to the OEM sport shift operation in the currently selected gear. If the OBD is left unplugged on vehicle start, the ShiftSense™ Pro will not engage. In that case a three beep alarm will sound and "S" mode works as OEM.

    Thanks for the replies.

I thought about turning SSP off. But it annoys me that I have to hide this from the dealer. I realize there's that law, but who wants to get involved with that it? So, I just shifted into my passive aggressive gear. Pulled the plug but left it turned on.

Anyway, nobody said anything, and I reset the SSP just before leaving the dealer's property. That'll show 'em!

It's so easy to set the level. I don't want to sound like an advertisement, but SSP is the best aftermarket add-on I've installed on my truck.

I left mine installed and turned on at my most recent service. No one said shit about it.

The only thing the tech bitched about was rotating the heavy ass 285's :anonymous:
