Anybody out there have a set of icons with a 700 pound spring. I am wondering how much preload you used to get 2- 2.5 of lift. I have a set on the way

I want to say that the instructions will tell you how much thread or height the coils can safely be run at before you have to worry about breaking the top hat on the coils. Im sure Im wrong, but something like 2.72 inches of height or exposed thread on the coil?

Thank you for the input, I’m not worried about breaking the coil. I was wondering how much preload provided abiut how much lift over stock, I.e. x amount of preload gave me x inches of lift over stock.

Oh ok, if you havnt lifted the truck on the coils I would see if you can measure the center of the wheel hub to the bottom of your fender. Then crank it up and keep checking your height.

If you already started playing with the height...Im sure someone can chime in on stock height or you might be able to find out what the stock taco height is online.

I think they say not to go over 2 1/4 inches of shown thread.....I have 700lb springs but have not switched
them out yet since my bumper has not yet arrived.

    Thanks again for the input.

So now that we know more than 2 1/4 inch or you’re danger of damage.

Does anybody with the 700 pound springs installed on a stock 3rd gen know how much preload they used to get about 2 inches or lift.

Thanks maybe I’ll cut a 1/2 inch out of that and use it as a starting point

Remember that the third gens come stock with an additional inch in height I believe from the second gens so you may not need 2.5 inches of height.
