Her name is Emily, she has a blog called "The Stylish Geek" and apparently her mom thought she was raising a boy because she started a Star Wars fan club in high school...

I HATE BUREAUCRACY!!! I hate mental midgets even more!

My boss sent me to Wawa to pick two Monsters (as in the energy drink) and two packs of cigarettes. Every once in a while, there'll be a new employee who doesn't know me and cards me. Most of the employees there know me and know that I'm more than 10 years past the minimum age to buy tobacco products. Sometimes, I'll get a particularly cunty employee who wants so bad for me to slip up and say they that the smokes are not for me (I do not smoke, but not one coworker I buy smokes for is under the age of 25).

Today, this one 20-something woman who has rung me up before asks for ID, even though she knows I'm way over 18. I ask, "Haven't I bought cigarettes from you enough times that you know I'm old enough?"

She acknowledged that she remembers me but says that the law is the law and everybody under thirty must be carded, even if they are a regular customer. I grumbled "bullshit."

I honestly think some of these employees are trying to fuck with me, because a lot of the other employees who know me don't card me...

Also, I know the Wawa people know I'm not a smoker and that I buy cigarettes for other people because I regularly get different brands, often at the same time.

It's a combination of law enforcement being too overzealous and Wawa employees being on a power trip!

 

This is one of those days when government at both the local and state level greatly underestimated how much snow was coming...



Driving home is gonna be fun...



At least we are not supposed to get anymore snow for more than a week!

 

The sound guy left his house in Blue Bell at 2:55pm. He just got here to Doylestown now at about quarter to five! It's also worth mentioning that he drives a 2010 Ford F-150 Lariat 4x4!

 

just get the Detroit tru trac for your truck. most likely be cheaper.
