What I found interesting is that the station list on my Tacoma is smaller than the one on my wife's Jeep (for the free trail periods for both vehicles, the Tacoma for 6 months, the Jeep for a year) and even when the "free weekends" show up, I'm still limited in station range.

I wasn't wowed by XM, although I have a ton of music on my phone. I also wasn't wild about the sound quality, all things considered, without sounding too much like an audio snob. My brother-in-law has a subscription and can have it on X number of radios and he has a spare subscription, maybe I'll see if he can add my truck.

You can set your favorite channels as presets, so,they are right there.

I got my XM cheap!! And the local radio stations suck ass and are full of commercials and I can't stand the local commercials. I love it, I found the stations that I like and preset them.

X2 with Spotify premium. Listen to specific songs, albums, playlists, etc.. You can also base "stations" on songs, albums, and artists. Your high-quality offline music is only limited to the amount of space you have on whatever device you're using. Worth it for me. Also, full albums are up on release date, which is nice.

I used XM radio maybe three times for a total of probably 20 minutes during my entire trial period. I bought my truck in January, and just a couple months ago the calls and letters stopped. The conversations with the rather extremely enthusiastic foreigners were kind of entertaining, so I wasn't bothered much.

Me too. I drive a lot and best part for me is the ability to listen to a game without interruption for a couple hundred miles.
OP, just go through the channels and preset 40 channels or so. Works perfectly.

Hold the button down on the left of the steering wheel. You will hear a beep then you can surf through all the stations.

I tried it will keep you in a certain genre and keep circling around the same few stations it will NOT scroll through the entire line up by the wheel. Gotta use the knob on the right

I’ve had XM for the past year. It’s one of those things that’s nice but not needed. 60 bucks for a year is a fair offer and I’m willing to pay that but I’ll never pay anything over that.

If you install that nav anytime mod you can flip through whatever xm stations you want while driving.

Oh and unless you offline your music xm > cell phone. There has been plenty of times I don’t have cell service but xm works fine.

Let go when it beeps. I can browse one station at a time without ever looking away from the road and am not limited to a genre.

I don't know how you're able to. For instance, when I go to channel XM51 and hold till it beeps it will go 51,52,53,54 then back to 51. I have to use the knob on the radio itself to get past 54 then it starts me in that next cycle 55-60 something. Very annoying

I am letting go instantly after the first beep then holding again until it beeps then repeating. It is counterintuitive but keeps my eyes on the road.

Make sure you call and haggle with them on pricing. I usually pay around $25 for 5 months, set a reminder on my calendar and call to cancel before it renews because the new price is too high, and haggle again on pricing. NEVER give them your credit card info for file, or you will get stuck with $100+ a year XM subscriptions.

Anyone that commutes long distances, XM is worth it. I like to listen to the news on my drives, in addition to music. I spend three hours in my truck a day!
