    *UPDATE*

Part of the Bad News would revolve around something like... Tonto National Forest says regardless of non-profit status (dontating to charity or not) we need a Recreation Event Permit... Oh but wait we also can't approve that within 90 days. What a fucking joke.:bananadead:

We have some more planning to do and there are some other options out there for us, but this grand event will definitely not be taking place at Sheeps Bridge on 1/20. Don't get your hopes up, we'll make something work.

In the mean time, since there are plenty of us in here with some useful knowledge, let's start brainstorming other locations. With the obvious size of this group we need something similar to Sheeps Bridge (2WD friendly, lots of space, preferably a long trail to explore, and nearby camping if possible). Not saying this will definitely be moved to another location just yet, but it would help to know if there are better options out there where we don't have to deal with the National Forest bs

Something will still happen, but with this many people and vendors involved, things have to be done right to protect everyone's interests. As it stands, with the volume of people, they'd essentially need to close off that road and area, making it exclusively ours to avoid user conflict and issues on the road. Not an impossibility by any means but when government red tape is involved, just takes a little time and lot of effort

There's a whole lot of room out west near Wikenburg. That's not national Forrest land, you can fit a ton of people anywhere out there but it's pretty boring out there as far as scenery goes. That's where they do the big sandy machine gun shoot.

MT stuff, RTT stuff, the usual.
    When the government is involved:

    Where will people poop?
What will that much concentrated alcohol soaked urine do to the ph levels of the soil?
    What is your medevac plan?
Do we need to dedicate assets (law enforcement) to the area?
Who will pick up the trash?
What if there is a collision, and there is a hazmat spill?
Do you have food handler certifications?
What if someone runs out of gas?
    What if you get sued?
    What if WE get sued?

The reality of the world we are in today. Don’t like it, but these are valid concerns. To many lawsuit happy people ruined it for the rest of us.

Just an idea but maybe do a morning bulldog canyon trail run with everyone with just the permit needed for that trail (similar to the poker run earlier in the year) then have the final gathering at Riverview Toyota later (similar to the event that was held there earlier in the year). A little inconvenient but the trail and meet location would be close proximity

An idea along those lines with some fun involved came up the other night. Something with happen on the 20th so that requested time off will not be wasted.

Bulldog is still on Tonto NF and would still require a group permit in addition to the Bulldog Permit and a Tonto Pass.
