The best option is probably to fab some custom liners.

If I ever move back to SLC I’ll probably do that. The salt gets everywhere!

But for now I can leave metal bare and nothing happens. :D

I have been up to the headlights and beyond in a JeepYJ with no snorkel. We simply used to turn the inlet up towards the hood. Not an apples to apples comparison but I never got a drop of water into the air box crossing rivers. I would think a mod to move the intake inside the engine compartment and up towards the hood should be sufficient for most.

I know everyone is going to become an engineer and complaint about the heat etc. Nothings perfect but I would far rather have this than some abortion cutting into my new truck and making me look like a summer teeth Bro-roids spray tan idiot.

It's amazing how bulky and ugly they designed them.
IMG_0084.jpg The one I had on my pathfinder was a great design and fit.

I think this Chev snorkel might be a good starting point, proportion-wise, only go bigger maybe, or better yet, put one on each side of the hood.....one for the engine, and one to feed air to the cab, so you don’t drown.

In all seriousness, I am looking forward to what you come up with as I am sure it will be much better than what is out there.

Good lord man. Some guys in this thread seem to have a burning hate for snorkels.

No doubt. It is cool they appear to be thinking about it though

Yeah, not sure I understand why. Being in a low lying area of central Florida and being a prime target for yearly hurricanes I kind of want the piece of mind.

...I haven't had that swill since college. Maybe spend another dollar or two and get decent beer? Focus on the snorkel issues later. You got real problems here. :)

Should have it this week. In the meantime, I am trying to dig up pics from other angles. Unfortunately, the main body does not look round:/. The overall length is 47" which will put it way too high, so I will be cutting it down and shortening it... hope the odd shape is easy to join back together.
