The truck didn't have the power in 4-hi and would bog down. The only way I could make it up was in low...

    I'm on 1.02A.

I had my fair share of getting stuck in the sand too . 4-lo is a must in a lot of situations.

Might be a silly question, but when reading ECU, according to the video, he presses the push start once. Is it once or twice? I keep getting a failed attempt when trying to identify.

Got a "shipping label created" notice on the 12th for mine (#2185) and I'm patiently waiting for it to arrive. My biggest concern is to not lose too much MPG while getting an improved response at low rpm/speeds. I'm currently getting 17.5-17.8 with mostly highway (traffic) driving during the week. It dips on the weekends. I have about 25k miles on my '16 and I thought I would just live w/ it until I stumbled onto someone mentioning the OV kit on Reddit.

Just got my final email with all 6 flavors this morning but had to wait all day to get home to the truck.. but man was it worth it!! This truck is finally as fun to drive on the street as it is on the trail!! :burnrubber:

I’m running 1.02C(a) 91 oct. and admittedly so far I’ve only done like 10 miles on it but I’m extemely happy. Shifts feel 100x better, butt dyno gains, hell even my MPG on my normal commute is improved. @OVTune Mat keep up the great work!!

To you guys still waiting, it’ll be worth it!

Loaded 87 C last night. Yesterday the temp also dropped below 40. Now I have to say, my truck runs like a completely different animal when the temps drop.... it's much more responsive, even stock. I've never driven a vehicle that was so temperature sensitive.

Having said that, the combo of the tune and temps had my truck running like a raped ape last night in my short test drive (truck was already warm from commute home). :bikewheelie: Due to the short test drive I don't have any feedback on shifting, cruise control, mpg or learning obviously. Those were all things I was hoping the tune would help (or at least keep constant with mpg), so at this point I would say I'm pleased so far.

These days I'm generally a "yacht rock" driver with the occasional bursts of teenage angst ridden speed metal thrown in for good measure. :) In other words, I'm easy and smooth on the throttle 90% of the time, but when I want it to go, I want it to GO, so from a learning perspective, I'm the worst kind of driver for this truck. It learns to be smooth then gets erratic when I give it the stick. Not looking forward to the learning, but am looking forward to 1.03.

TL;DR version....so far so good and this looks to be money well spent. Thanks @OVTune.

Hey guys, any knowledge on how often you can safely flash the ECU? I ran A when I first got the tune, felt like it held on to 5th gear too long when it could of shifted to 6th. Flashed it to C this morning, and felt much better, but thinking of flashing it to B to get the best of both worlds. 1-4 upshifts adjusted 5-6 stock. Any thoughts? Or maybe @OVTune could help out this question?

I've flashed this ECU over 100 times. Nothing to worry about.

Seems like everyone is happy -minus the torque learning. Wonder if he will be able to completely disable the learning :p

Hopefully he can mute the learning but he's also working on some new things as well as refinements to others.
Im happy as well but the learning dulled down the tune so im wanting all it's original goodness as well as the updates back and unmuted...!!
Was just hoping OVT would chime in and give us update like, hey this or that is working out well..!!

    Hey all,

Unfortunately for me, I had to get rid of my Tacoma. Fortunately for someone else, that leaves me with the OVTune hardware and nothing to use it for. I know OVTune allows you to purchase just the tune if you already own the hardware, though I’m not sure of the price. If anyone is interested in buying the hardware, drop me a PM.

Hey @OVTune, I just saw on the website that you guys are closed from 12/20 to 1/2. I got my kit last night but won't have time to install until this weekend. Will there be anyone around to provide a license answer key or am I SOL until 2018?

I flashed map A to my taco and I immediately noticed how smooth the idle was and how much more sensitive the throttle was. it was also nice not to have the tranny shifting 2 gears before passing people.
now I can't wait for what @OVTune has in store next.

    2018 tuners,

I'm currently on the fence for a 2018 buy. Currently driving a 2011 4.0 Tacoma DCSB OR and reading everything I can regarding the OV tunes. As some you have actually applies OV tunes, can someone tell me if there is a written description for each already released tune version and the expected affect or do you just keep applying the latest tune from OV as released.
I'm referring the the Hand Held tuning devise.

    Illumination is appreciated
