I thought someone makes flippable bars too. Mounting like low profile and under the rail

Tire is 90lbs. 4 mounting points, 22.5 lbs per cleat, 45 lbs per bed rail. I think it’ll be fine. The XRXS Bars have bends in them for ridgidity.

My friend has a 2wd taco with a built in camper. But he went cross country for his honeymoon last year, and did Walmart camping the whole way. Not sure if id set up the RTT in a Walmart, but for him, all he had to do was walk into the bed. So its still available

KB VooDoo makes those too. Still mount to the rails. More money.

Well I never figured it out with the percentage increase from 33s. But that was basing it off of the fuelly app. And only getting a max of 250 miles to a tank.

Walmart frowns on opening slide outs and such. I don’t think you’d get away with a RTT. Last thing I would want to deal with is someone waking me up and making me leave.

Im partially planning now to kinda get the ball rolling for them too, haven't seen much activity in there lately. Id love to go up north myself sometime soon, maybe this summer. Im itching to explore I just don't have the shit to do it yet really.

I’ve stopped at both and have popped the tent at both as well but not every time. I’m able to recline the drivers seat all the way & catch a solid 5 hours so sometimes I’ll do that instead of setting up the whole thing. Really depends on what mood I’m in.
It’s all a matter of personal preference- I make those decisions on the fly when traversing the country.

Id be down to get up to Vermont, NH, and Maine again this summer. I missed out on the rocky coastline of Maine because I was getting tired at that point.

For me, the drive from NYC to Lake Placid is boring, so id skip that. Burlington was cool, but the factor of going alone kills it for me. Id go with someone/anyone to people watch, check out the food or sights, or breweries. Downsides of #singlelife

I would like to go back to Connecticut and Rhode Island to complete my bucket list of camping in those states. But Maine is higher on the list.

@Blackout14 you can see my friends camper in the pics below.
At least i got to see a logging truck, and get some lobster. $50 lunch by myself. Worth it.

I’d love to pick one of those campers up and mount the box on the back of a 2nd gen...

If I did do a bed rack, I could weld bed bars right to it too.

Like a built in slide-in camper but 2nd gen? I think i get it.

Side note, i saw an awesome idea. Guy had a Unimog flatbed, and he put an enclosed trailer (without the axles and trailer part) (like @Shmellmopwho) on the flatbed part. Made it into a tiny home/RTT/giant camper.. on a Unimog.

I know. I’ve seen it. If he wasn’t on the other side of the country, I’d try to get him to make me one.
